American Dream

By Amani

Have you ever counted the stars at night? Have you ever asked yourself about the differences between them, and have you ever thought to travel on a star? When I was a kid, my father said you could not go to the stars because they are far away, but you can do what the star does. He said that they help people to know their way in the desert when no anyone can help them. My father taught me that I can be a star by helping people to achieve their dream. According to News Max website "The number of foreign-born residents in the United States — including legal and illegal immigrants — reached 40 million last year, the highest figure in American history, new Census Bureau figures disclose. Nearly 14 million new immigrants came to America from 2000 to 2010, making it the highest-ever decade for immigration". So many people are coming to the United States seeking for success. They are coming to find a place to be a star. They are looking for better educational opportunities, and better funding opportunities in the US. They also are seeking for more academic freedom. According to Helen D. Hazen and Heike C. Albert's they said that immigrant student believe that the hope of a US degree will improve job opportunities in their home country,. In my view, there are three most relevant ingredients for anyone to achieve the American dream. Anyone can be success, if he or she knows how to own those characteristics.

Here in America, it is extremely important to have a star. Having a star is refers to having a plan or goal. The reason why this is important is that it helps you to know what you should do and where you should go to do it. Look at Google as an example, which was made by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Ph.D. students at Stanford University. They were working on the Stanford Digital Library Project (SDLP). The SDLP's goal was “to develop the enabling technologies for a single, integrated and universal digital library", they did it, and they were successful. Subsequently, they are now stars for any student who likes to develop new technologies. Having a star or stars, that means you have dream, hope, and faith; furthermore, you should have a brilliant plan to translate your faith into the reality. In my view, this is a first step to being successful.

Not only having a star will guide you to success, but also being a huntsman, that looks for opportunities. Even if you do not like to be a shooter, you should be awake and know when you have to be an exploiter. Take Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook maker, as an example of a student who got a chance to hijack someone else's idea. However, I found that he was smart enough to catch this opportunity to be a star and he exploited it. I am not saying his doing is moral or immoral, but at the end he was successful and no one knows the owner of the main idea of Facebook. The capability to use the skills that you have is the easiest way to exploit your own. Keep in mind that when you came to America, your dream is to be rich or to get higher education that makes you successful and leads you to higher your class as well.

Fighting or striving is other the key to achieve the American Dream. Perseverance and hard work are examples to make you strong enough to achieve it. Oprah Gail Winfrey is an incredible woman who fought poverty as a child in rural Mississippi. Her uncomfortable and unstable situation pushed her to survive. According to Wikipedia, the result is that she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and was for a time the world's only black billionaire. She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world. Dealing with your obstacles in smart ways is a greatest important step to jumping on a desk success.

Briefly, in my view, the most relevant tools to achieve your success are having a star in front of you, to be quick-witted, and to fight or strive. Remember one of them is not enough for success. The American Dream has no limits or descriptions, it just happens, and anyone could have it, and reach it. Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "My fellow Americans, this is an amazing moment for me. To think that a once scrawny boy from Austria could grow up to become Governor of California and stand in Madison Square Garden to speak on behalf of the President of the United States that is an immigrant's dream. It is the American Dream".

How to Make Your Neighbor Move?

How to Make Your Neighbor Move?

Some time you have a boring neighbor, or you have a new neighbor or friend that you want them to live next to you. And you don’t know how to make an old neighbor go away. I'll give you some different ideas to make him move.
First of all, start by leaving your garbage in front of his or her door. You can, also, collect a yard waste and leave it there. Listen to you best music loudly every time, especially on morning and midnight or any time that you think he is sleeping. Here is a perfect idea. Invite your friends, sisters, brother, children and your entire relative that you know to a big night party. And make sure you stay outside as you don’t have any rooms inside your home. Also, you can let your kid play and throw their toys in your neighbor's yard. If it doesn’t work, don’t give up.
There are many useful ideas that you can do it. Try to mow the grass in your yard by using lawnmower machine at dawn. That mean you have to wake up early to start your plan. Also, here is an idea to help you. Park your car in your neighbor's position every time. Over that, you shouldn't communicate with him anymore. Don’t help him, and say no to everything that he wants. If that doesn’t work, jump to the last part, and keep going on your goal as long as you can.
Last part, be ready to hear anything from him, and quickly call the sheriff's office, and tell him about loud and noise sounds that you hear. For more fun in this job, I'll give two pieces advice. Stand in front of their house, and take over their order of pizza, food or anything that they ordered. Secondly, try to go secretly, and put a big sign in front of their house, writ on it "FOR SALE ". Funny isn't it?
Indeed, I think those are good and fun ways to make them move. If all that advice that I give you doesn't work, that mean there is something wrong, which is maybe your neighbor tried to make you move, too. In this case, I don't know what you should do. However, if you keep going in those ways, maybe you'll be winner. I hope that help you. Done!!

Adapting to a New Environment

Human beings are very adaptable. We can live in most climates of the world. In the past , people tended to stay in the place they were born, but now we move easily from country to city, from one part to another, and even from country to country. Each place has its own customs and ways of life, and countries also have different languages. When I moved from Saudi Arabia to USA, I had to make several adjustments to my life.
First of all, English every day, one of the hardest things is to communicate with native speakers, and to deal with a new language all day. Every day I have to chilling myself. My brain is working without rest. I have to think in English when I talk to someone or speak, write, listen, read, and dream, too. I feel under pressure often, and I wonder about a drug to acquire this language quickly.
Another issue for me when I moved here was handling money. Usually, I didn’t take care about money. Even if I had any problem, or I wanted to buy anything, I knew there are my parents and my brothers they can support me any time. Also, I didn’t know the bread, rice or milk cost, for example. I spent most my salary on phone bill, or new jewelry or some gifts. However, here it is opposite because I have to think about many things, such as an electric bill, an apartment fee, a water fee, and the food cost... etc. In brief, here I have to deal with money carefully.
One of the most important things that I had to get accustomed to is the safety. I am a stranger; therefore, I feel unsafe. For example, I am afraid to go outside my home after the sun sets. In my country, I prepare to visit my friends at sunset, and I could go to shopping at night, too without worrying. Last month at midnight, one of my neighbors had a problem, and I didn’t

know what it was. I heard the policemen call him. After that, I heard a man was crying and screaming. And I saw a helicopter and six police cars. I had never seen anything like this. When I came to here, I realize what an importance of safety to live in new place.
In conclusion, I wonder sometimes if I am the same person I was before I moved. By adjusting my English, my money, and my safety. I may appear to other to as if I am a new person. However, I think of it not as having changed as having grown.

Also, that helps the deaf to know the time of entry of prayer. The laser light comes from a crescent-shaped plat form on the top. The clock has four square windows, and the space for each one is 40 x 400 m. It has a white background, and black hands. In the center, there is a Saudi logo, two  gold swords and a gold palm. Eid Ul-Fitr for My Family

Eid Ul-Fitr comes after Ramadan, fasting month, of every year, and it is the most important event for my family. The reason is most of my family works at the other Eid, so we have a big celebration during this eid.
Our preparations for this event begin a month before that. For example, we buy new traditional clothes, which are called Kiswat Ul-Eid, for everyone in my family, including our servants. Also, we buy or renew and clean furniture of each room in the house, and decorate them as best as we can. This is my task usually. A task for my parents is choosing and purchasing candies, sweets and chocolates for visitors. Also, my sisters and I decorate some money for children visitors. Every Eid I buy toys for nephews and nieces. In the last night of Ramadan month, my father has to distribute Zakat Ul-Fitr, food to poor people. It is the third pillar of Islam.
On the dawn of the first day of Eid Ul-Fitr, all of us wear the best clothes and go to the largest mosques in the neighborhood to do the Eid prayer. After that, all of my relatives go to my grandmother's home to eat special breakfast meal together. This meal contains Dibiza; apricot juice cooked with raw nuts a sweet taste. And, sheep or cow feet soup, which is the popular foods in Al Hejaz, the west region of Saudi Arabia. At night this day all of my relatives come to our house to eat dinner meal. Next day, all of us have a lunch in my uncle's house, and then we return back to my home and welcome to visitors. At next day, my sisters and I visit our relatives at their houses. At fourth and fifth days, usually have a big family picnic, such as chalets or camps. We have fun, dance and enjoy playing some games together.
In brief, Eid Ul-Fitr has importance, has special preparations, and has enjoyable for my family.

Every Thing Went Wrong

I had never forgotten that day when every thing went wrong. At first, on that day I couldn't sleep in the afternoon as every day. Because my sister was finished her exams, so she was free, and she played video game. So, I had a feeling very annoyed, worried and headache. Also, I thought I had an exam next day, but I didn't know a subject. Moreover, my test schedule was disappearing, and I tried to ask my friends but they didn’t answer for me, so I couldn't know the subject. And I studied any subject all night. Next day, I woke up late and went to the school very late, too. Also, I forgot my pen, pencil and all my staff. And, I couldn't find my wallet in the morning, and the bus was gone, so I went to the school by walking. After that, I arrived to the class room and sat on the last seat. Also, the class was very hot because the air condition doesn't work. However, there was surprised when I took my test paper I became very happy and did very well on the exam because the subject was same which I studied, so I was lucky.
In short, I usually post my test schedule on the wall in my bed room and copy it more than one copy, so I didn't repeat that things again.

Old clothes may I use it as mop to clean a surfaces, cabinets and floors in my home. The old hand bags sometime I do new decoration to renewable it and make it more beautiful, and some accessories , too.
